like as a big storm rolled through. yes, we had flood warnings with nearly 2 1/2 inches of rain in that part of town. east side missed out but all of us getting down to the low 70s this morning. it doesn't look like an improvement. might feel puggy -- muggy but we will drop humidity and patchy fog in baltimore county because of the rain that fell yesterday. 73 in owings mills and 75 on down towards glen burnie and annapolis. we are looking at dry sweeps on maryland's most powerful doppler radar and we expect a dry day and less humid day but a hot day going for the two degree guaranteed high of 91. the first look at traffic right now. >> reporter: good morning. we have no accidents to report in baltimore city or baltimore county. that's a great way to start out. let's look out at 695 at wilkins avenue on the southwest side, we have the heavier traffic on the outer loop to the left of the screen oncoming. no incidents to report. all lanes should be open. we have construction that we are dealing with 95 northbound before caton avenue. that exit, the two it lanes are closed and after t

by next week, but the big question that everybody is asking is how is this going to happen, because it seems that all sides are digging in the heels and the white house continuing to insist that the president would veto a short term plan which is that plan put forth by speaker boehner that is as kelly mentioned would increase the debt ceiling in increments for the first time for six months, and press secretary jay carney, again, today saying that the president would veto that if it made it to his desk, and carney saying that bill would doubtfully pass the senate, but the president said in the remarks last night he does support the plan put forth by reid which would of course, decrease the deficit by $2.7 trillion and raise the deficit through 2012, and here is what press secretary jay carney had to say about the reid plan earlier today. >> it is a legitimate compromise measure. we believe it could pass the senate and the house if folks gave it a fair shake, and we appreciate senator reid putting it forward. the fact that there remains confidence in the world that washington will at

because the u.s. postal service is facing some big financial problems. the agency says it lost $8 billion last year. part of it is because of the recession, there has been a steep decline in advertising mail but there's also a lot of first class mail that is now being sent electronically and packages are being carried bid private carriers. the postal service says it will consider opening village offices. postoffice desks and counters that would be placed inside businesses, town halls and community centers. postal service is expected to -- across the country for possible closure. we don't know yet which bay area postoffices may be on that list or how many of them. but about 10 minutes ago i did get a response from a u.s. postal service spokesperson in washington, d.c. she said at 10:30 eastern time they're going to be sending out that list of the 3,600 postoffices. so 10:30 eastern time so about an hour and a half from now for our pacific time. we should get that list and take a look at it to see how this is going to affect postal service here in the bay area. allie rasmus. >>> tim

washington is a big part of the reason why. before i served in congress i ran a small business. i was amaze how different washington d.c. operated. most american businesses make the hard choices to pay their bills, live within their means. in washington, more spending and debt is business as usual. i got news for washington, those days are over. president obama came to congress in january and requested business as usual. he had another increase in the national debt but we said not so fast. hereby was the president asking for the largest debt increase in history. here is what we got for that spending binge. a new healthcare bill, a stimulus bill that is more effective in producing material for late night comedians than jobs and a national debt that sparked a crisis. the united states can't default on its debt obligations. the jobs of two many -- too many americans are at steak. the american will not accept an increase in the debt limit without cuts and reforms. over the last six months we have done our best to convince the president to do something dramatic to change our country. something t
